Fresh Sheet

Newest jobs fresh for the picking

In the fresh sheet below you’ll find two categories of jobs – those that have been added this week (no matter what their closing date) and jobs that are closing on or before the following Wednesday. This sheet is usually updated twice a week – typically on Tuesday and Thursday though that is not written in stone (if for example I see on a Friday that there are jobs that will close on the following Monday or Tuesday I might put out a fresh sheet on Saturday – watch the Twitter feed at @YYJWorks to be alerted to ‘off-schedule’ fresh sheets). New entries are in red and indicate when they were added. If you know of a job I’ve missed that should be on this sheet email the details to susan at yyjworks.com.

The fresh sheet now features the odd job or two pulled from the Island Health (formerly Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA)) website. There are simply too many jobs on the Island Health site to include all of them (usually well over 150, the majority being nursing positions). You can read my review of their VI-Hire online job posting and application tracking system (this review has been updated to reflect on some changes to the system since my first review when it was implemented in the summer of 2011). I would suggest setting yourself up to use VI-Hire if you want to work for Island Health or simply go to Island Health’s website regularly to search for positions that might suit you.

I’ve also put up a blog posting on job alerting services that you might find helpful.
