Daily Bulletins and Job Boards (for job-seekers)
Daily Job Bulletin for week starting May 6, 2013
Curious about where I find the jobs I list on YYJWorks – here are all the details on Job Boards and their quirks. To get started on finding a new job – go to the fresh sheet – which shows you all the jobs that are closing by the Wednesday of the following week (May 15, 2013) and is updated with new jobs Monday through Friday. Otherwise keep reading.
A good resource with a lot of jobs that I do not visit to gather jobs for my postings is the federal government JobBank – this link should take you directly to where you can search for jobs in the Victoria area. And if you’d like to see the source of the chart below have a look at the Job Boards that I scan to create this bulletin.
Also, after some consideration I’ve decided to cut this long document into two pieces. The first piece is those jobs that are closing by the end of the current month. The second piece is those jobs that are closing next month or have no closing date specified or are open until filled (OUF).
If you’d like either of these documents in PDF form send me an email at susan@yyjworks.com.

Job Boards
Here are the boards I use to create the fresh sheet each weekday. You may notice that I have not included such sites as craigslist, Monster.ca or Workopolis – I just feel that these are (in the case of the first) not that reputable in terms of content or simply repeat jobs that are already listed elsewhere (in the case of the last two).
